BMW is returning to the big screen in the next installment of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. Along with BMW’s presence in the film, the automaker will be launching “Mission to Drive,” a Mission: Impossible-themed marketing campaign.
Ethan Hunt, Tom Cruise’s legendary character in the films, will be driving several BMW models, including the BMW 6 Series convertible, the upcoming BMW i8, and the futuristic BMW Vision EfficientDynamics. The vehicles will be featured in several key action sequences.
Trudy Hardy, Manager, Marketing Communications and Consumer Events at BMW of North America, states that ““The film allows us a wonderful opportunity to showcase not only BMW’s vision for future vehicles but to highlight some of the newest and most popular cars in our current fleet. The synergies between BMW’s high-performance vehicles and one of the most action-packed film franchises on the big screen were perfect.”
Through the end of year, BMW is offering its customers “self-destructing” offers. The automaker will also be offering consumers the chance to view more than 200 special screenings of the film, and one contest will even send a BMW customer on an all-expense paid trip to the Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol U.S. premiere.
