The luxurious BMW 7 Series was already one of the most celebrated models on the road, but now, it will be available in yet another top-notch trim level: that of a plug-in hybrid BMW 7 series, increasing fuel efficiency enormously.

BMW recently added both the BMW 740e and 740Le xDrive plug-in hybrid variant to the list of available BMW 7 Series vehicles, which are fueled by a combination of BMW iPerformance, BMW eDrive, and a carbon-core body structure.

The plug-in hybrid model will be powered by a 2.0-liter engine as well as an electric motor, which will work together to produce up to 236 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, offering seriously powerful performance.

Plus, the versatile new model will be available in both rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive.
