BMW M2 Debut Scheduled for Detroit

BMW M2 DebutThe highly anticipated BMW M2 debut is set to take place at the 2016 North American International Auto Show, scheduled for January 11th-24th.  Although we got a glimpse of the M2 in October, when it was officially unveiled, the Detroit Auto Show will give us our first close-up look at the bold exterior and interior design and the powerful M TwinPower Turbo engine under the hood.

According to a recent news release, the BMW M2 will be powered by a brand new M TwinPower Turbo technology 3-liter, 6-cylinder engine that puts out 365 bHP and 343 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to all that power, the new BMW M2 sprints from 0-60 mph in a mere 4.2 seconds.

Look for more details, including pricing and packages, when the M2 makes its grand entrance in Detroit. Also look for the new BMW X1, BMW 7 Series, the high-performance BMW i8, the plug-in hybrid BMW 330e, and the all-electric BMW i3 to make a splash at the NAIAS.
